On the day of the event, SET-UP begins at 1:00 PM and must be completed by 2:30PM. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Food Vendors: As required by law, all vendors will be subject to inspection by the Durham County Health Dept. and will be issued a permit for their temporary food establishment. No food can be prepared before at your temporary food establishment before your booth has been inspected and issued a permit. The only exception is vendors with a current mobile food truck permit. ALL Vendors: Submit a copy of your Certificate of Liability Insurance to me at [email protected] by Monday, July 15th. Please include Durham Central
Park and CaribSplash as an additional insured.


The following rules must be adhered to. Breach of these rules will result in immediate
ejection from the venue.

  • Vendors are responsible for providing a tent, chairs, and tables.
  • Vendors are not allowed to sell alcoholic beverages
  • Vendors are expected to be present and vending for the entire festival (2:30 pm to 8:00 pm). No early breakdowns.
  • No weapons or firearms are allowed.
  • No glass bottles or glass containers should be dispensed to the public.
  • All Food Vendors MUST have a fire extinguisher.
  • All items to be sold must be listed on the vendor agreement form.
  • Vendors are responsible for cleaning their area of all garbage immediately following the event.
  • Vendors are responsible to pay the required taxes to the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
  • Unauthorized goods will be confiscated. Vendor Fee is non-refundable.
  • Each vendor must supply their own ice (if necessary).

Rainout Procedure:
NC Jerk Food Festival is a “rain or shine” event; no rain dates! Participants should be prepared to continue in the case of light rain. In the case of heavy rain, the NC Jerk Food Festival Committee will consider electrical hazards, logistical requirements, concessionaires’ needs, and the requirements of performing artists in making any decision about suspension or cancellation of any part or all of the Festival. No refunds will be made due to inclement weather or a participant’s decision to leave before the end.

Booth Space: Booth spaces are 10’x (10’, 20’) depending on your selection

  • Vendor may apply for more than one space; please utilize separate applications. If your booth/trailer size exceeds the booth space size, you must apply for the
    next sized booth or your application will not be processed.
  • Vendors must contain all equipment, supplies and storage within their space. Nothing may be hung on trees. Booths must be of sound construction, free-
    standing and must not obstruct others. No campers, RVs or trailers are allowed on site except during loading and unloading.

All fees are deposited upon receipt. If you are not selected to participate in NC Jerk
Food Festival 2024, we will return booth fees in full. If you are selected but decide not to
participate, you must notify the NC Jerk Food Festival office in writing no later than July
15, 2024. There will be no refunds past this date. Proper disposal of waste is required.
The area will be inspected by the city prior to, during, and after the event.

Vendor Fee:

  • Arts & Crafts (20×10) $450
  • Arts & Crafts (10×10) $250
  • Drinks/Smoothies/Icees $350
  • Non-Profit/Informational $200
  • Food Vendor $700
    (This total includes a non-refundable $25 application fee.)

CaribSplash/Durham Central Park/City of Durham or their associates are in no way responsible or will be held liable for personal injury, loss or adversity as a result of any incident or Act of God on the day of the festival.
